Wednesdayites are set to travel to The Riverside Stadium en masse this weekend to try and cheer the Owls to three crucial Championship points against Middlesbrough.

Owls fans have snapped up the initial allocation of almost 2,000 tickets for the trip to face Gordon Strachan’s men and a new batch will be on sale from 2pm this afternoon.

It means almost 4,000 Owls fans could make the trip to support Alan Irvine’s men in what’s a huge match which could help decide their Championship future.

A further 2,000 tickets have been sent by Boro which will be on sale from this afternoon for the rest of the week.

It’s the first time Wednesday will have made the trip to The Riverside in over a decade, with the last trip coming in the Premier League days of 2000.
