Of course, we all knew it all along, but now it’s official – Wednesday fans were number one for most travelling supporters in the Championship last season.

No matter how bad we are, which lets face it, was a fair few instances last season, Owls fans always follow their team, and last season was no exception with an average of almost 2,000 fans travelling up and down the country to watch the blue and white wizards.

The figure of 1,963 is the highest in the Championship, despite a poor season which finished with a narrow escape from relegation, above nearest rivals West Brom and Sheffield United.
