Owls Face Tough Trip

Paul Sturrock is looking for the second shock of the week when the Owls play high flyers Reading tonight.

Reading are looking to increase their amazing unbeaten league run of 15 league games (18 matches in total). The Owls boss says ‘It will be difficult – even more difficult than Norwich – but we have to take our confidence into the game. If we can get over the first 20 minutes, who knows what we can achieve?’

Sturrock also says Reading ‘are a team that we want to emulate. They’ve had a manager for three years who has put his stamp on the team. They know exactly how he wants to play, which is similar to how I want to play – positively with wingers.’

Sturrock is also thinking about making changes for the trip: ‘I am contemplating freshening things up. The team went through a very difficult 90 minutes and I’m deliberating making two or three changes. There are decisions to be made on several players.’ And that could include on loan Villa youth striker Gaby Agbonlahor:

‘He convinced me what I always knew we needed away from home, which we haven’t really had since Proudlock left and with Talbot being injured.’
