Wednesday have confirmed their second signing of the summer with the news that Ipswich Town’s Tommy Miller has agreed to a move to Hillsborough.

The experienced midfielder has agreed to a two-year contract with the Owls on a free transfer after leaving Portman Road at the end of the 2009-10 campaign.

The signing is the Owls’ second in three days, with former Cardiff City man Darren Purse agreeing to a two-year deal on Saturday to bolster the defence.

‘Tommy Miller has a huge amount of Championship experience and is exactly the kind of player I am looking to bring to Sheffield Wednesday,’ Laws told www.swfc.co.uk.’

The signing shows the direction Laws is looking to go this season – with experience at Championship level and to add some steel to the relatively young Wednesday side.

The former Sunderland man was used on the right wing for much of Ipswich’s campaign but his preferred option is as an attacking midfielder.
