Wednesday have confirmed the signing of Bristol Rovers midfielder Chris Lines on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
As reported on Vital Wednesday earlier, the 25-year-old has been undergoing a medical in Sheffield today, and the club has confirmed the signing tonight.
Lines told the official SWFC website: ‘I was aware of interest in me by Sheffield Wednesday and I couldn’t wait to come here and get the deal done.
‘I’m keen to get out on the pitch and show the fans what I can do and help get this club back where it belongs.
‘I’ve played against a lot of the lads that are here throughout my career and I know there is a lot of competition, so it will be a good challenge for me here.’
Lines had been on trial with Crystal Palace over the summer but the Eagles decided against offering him a deal at Selhurst Park.
He could go straight into the Owls squad that will travel down to Bournemouth in npower League One on Saturday.
