Wednesday have signed their second defender on loan in as many days following the capture of Blackpool’s Spanish defender Miguel Llera today.

As reported on Vital Wednesday yesterday, the centre-back will follow Newcastle United full-back James Tavernier, who signed on-loan yesterday, to Hillsborough and will stay until January 2012.

The 32-year-old has spent the start of this season on-loan with Brentford after Blackpool signed him in the summer, and he played against the Owls when the Bees held Wednesday to a 0-0 draw earlier this month.

He arrived in England with MK Dons from Spanish side Hercules and went on to play for Charlton Athletic, alongside current Owls midfield man Jose Semedo, before Blackpool snapped him up.

Llera will be eligible to go straight into the squad for this Saturday’s home game against Leyton Orient.
