Wednesday boss Gary Megson will hope to bring an experienced goalkeeper to Hillsborough before the close of the loan transfer window tomorrow.

Megson is keen to add a new stopper to his squad following an injury to regular number one Nicky Weaver, despite a fine performance by Richard O’Donnell at Southampton at the weekend.

And he has just over 24 hours to complete a deal, with the transfer window for loans coming to a close tomorrow.

Megson is expected to throw the new addition straight into the starting line-up for the trip to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, if successful in his search.

It could be a busy day or so at S6, with Joey O’Brien also linked with a loan move until the end of the season, as reported earlier on Vital.
