Wednesday boss Gary Megson is looking to bolster his squad with at least one loan addition before next Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Megson is determined to bolster his attacking options and is understood to have failed in a bid to sign Reading winger Michail Antonio on loan, but has turned his attentions elsewhere to an undisclosed player and is awaiting a response.

But no deal will be done before tomorrow’s npower League One clash at Tranmere Rovers.

Megson told the Sheffield Star: ‘We`ve gone for another player; the manager of the club seems okay with it and the player seemed okay with it when they spoke to him’

The loan transfer deadline ends next Thursday and Wednesday won’t be able to add any further players to their squad from then until January 1 2012.

The Owls boss is also looking for another centre-back to come in and is keen on Blackpool defender Miguel Llera, who’s currently on-loan at Brentford until the start of December. A move for him could come in the January transfer window.
