Wednesday boss Brian Laws has revealed that he already has one eye on next season after admitting he’s started his search for new players to bolster the Owls’ squad.

Laws is still looking for players to boost his relatively thin squad for the remainder of the season, but has revealed that he’s already spoken to some players about moving to Hillsborough for the start of next season.

‘I’ve already spoken to three players for next season and we are working feverishly behind the scenes,’ Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.

‘Hopefully we’ll be able to progress it as the weeks and months go by.’

Wednesday are set to learn whether or not the search for fresh investment has been successful before the end of March, but Laws could well already be working towards a budget set by chairman Lee Strafford.
