Who did Sheffield Wednesday sign Josh Windass on loan from?

Render joined the Owls in 2013 and has risen through the youth ranks to the fringes of the first-team. He’s currently behind Cameron Dawson, Joe Wildsmith and Keiren Westwood in the pecking order but may be given an opportunity at senior level with Westwood being exiled.

This season, Render has made 15 appearances for the reserves. He started in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic (August 13, 2019), 3-1 defeat to Watford (August 23), 4-1 win over Colchester United (September 2), 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers (September 6), 3-2 defeat to Cardiff City (September 16), 3-1 defeat to Crewe Alexandra (September 23), 4-2 defeat to Bolton Wanderers (October 21), 3-0 defeat to Barnsley (October 29), 1-1 draw with Burnley (November 4), 1-0 win over Sheffield United (November 26), 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City (November 29), 3-2 defeat to Hull City (January 24), 2-0 win over Barnsley (February 18), 2-1 defeat to Wigan Athletic (March 2) and 2-1 win over Sheffield United (March 6).

Render is still third/fourth in the pecking order and has to work hard to break into the first-team, but the goalkeeper’s new deal is recognition of his progress at youth level.
