Friday evening saw Jos Luhukay’s Sheffield Wednesday side travel to Bramall Lane for the Sheffield derby against Chris Wilder’s United.

Both sides played out a scoreless draw in front of the Sky Sports cameras and although the hosts more dominated the game with a greater share of possession and more chances on the night, a more admirable defensive showing took us to a point and brought our run of successive defeats to an end.

23-year-old Cameron Dawson pulled off a number of stops as he took our first clean sheet of the season and he saved a penalty in the first half of the game so it was no great surprise to see WhoScored give him their star man award for the game.

Pulling in a score of 8.21 for the match, special mentions also need to go to Tom Lees, Michael Hector, Steven Fletcher and Jordan Thorniley who rated well under their system.

The performance was far from inspiring, but at least there were some positives for travelling fans to latch onto this time around.
