Most Sheffield Wednesday fans had hoped that taking a point from the Steel City derby against Sheffield United would see us draw the line under recent poor form and results, but the November international break clearly worked against us as we faced Frank Lampard’s Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

Hosting them at Hillsborough for the clash, it seemed like it might be our day as Adam Reach opened the scoring in the 12th minute of the game, but by the halftime whistle Derby had levelled and then taken the lead and the final scoreline read 2-1 as we fell to another defeat under manager Jos Luhukay.

We remain winless on home soil since August but the obviously disappointing thing was we had the greater chances on the day, yet couldn’t make it count.

According to website Whoscored only two players actually received a post-game score of 7+ for their efforts and that was Man of the Match Lucas Joao (7.27) and goalscorer Reach (7.12).

The top five on the day were completed by Fernando Forestieri, Barry Bannan and Tom Lees.
