Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison has moved to npower League One rivals MK Dons on an emergency one-month loan deal.

The 32-year-old will be able to feature for Karl Marginson’s men up to an including Saturday, October 22, starting with their trip to face Bury today.

It’s understood to be the second time the Dons have moved for the former Coventry City and Birmingham man, with the Owls reported to have rejected an initial loan bid because their wage contribution was too low the first time around.

Swindon Town also made a move for Morrison but the striker turned down the chance to join Paolo Di Canio’s men, according to reports.

The Dons were keen for his services though and returned with a new and improved bid to get their man.

Morrison has featured regularly for Wednesday at the start of the season but has fallen down the pecking order following the loan arrival of Nottingham Forest striker David McGoldrick, and the imminent return from injury of both Chris O’Grady and Ryan Lowe.
