Wednesday midfielder Tommy Miller has won the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for League One for October, pipping Owls stopper Nicky Weaver to the accolade.

Miller said: ‘I’m really pleased to win this award and particularly because it comes from the fans. I’d like to thank everyone who voted for me.’

He was part of a Wednesday side that impressed throughout October, although losing their final match of the month at Charlton Athletic at the weekend.
