Wednesday will be having a Miller officiating their crunch clash with Burnley this weekend – Nigel Miller, that is.

The County Durham referee has been chosen to take charge at Turf Moor this Saturday (kick-off 3pm) – but fans attending the match will be hoping he keeps his cards firmly in his pocket following the last Championship match he refereed.

Miller took charge of the tempered clash at Carrow Road two weeks ago between Norwich and Wolves which saw two players sent off and three cautioned as Wolves ran out 1-0 winners.

It will be the second time Miller looks over a match involving the Owls this season, after officiating Wednesday’s 2-1 victory over Leicester City in November which saw four players pick up yellow cards.

Miller has dished out 66 yellow cards and nine red cards so far this season and will be assisted by Mr. Andrew Hutchinson and Mr. Dave McCallum. The 4th official will be Mr. Iain Siddal.
