The transfer window for loan deals reopens today, and new Owls boss Gary Megson is set to take full advantage to bolster his squad.

Megson was appointed Wednesday boss less than a week after the close of the January transfer window, in which former boss Alan Irvine added five players to the Owls squad.

But chairman Milan Mandaric promised more players would be arriving when the loan window reopens, today, and it’s set to give Megson the chance to bring his own men in.

And Owls fans could see new players in before Saturday’s npower League One trip to Rochdale.

A deal to sign QPR winger Lee Cook looks dead after the former Fulham man pulled out of discussions with the Owls at the last minute before the close of the transfer window.

But ‘two or three’ more loan arrivals could already be in the pipeline as Mandaric and Megson look to add players to a struggling squad sooner rather than later.

As always, keep visiting Vital Wednesday for all the latest transfer rumours and done deals.
