Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric has confirmed he’ll help new boss Gary Megson bring in ‘one or two’ loan players to bolster his squad.

The Owls chairman helped fund the signing of five players in the January transfer window and insists he’ll help Megson with loan signings after the window for loan deals opened this week.

And they could be at Hillsborough in time for this weekend’s clash against Rochdale in npower League One at Spotland.

‘We want to bring in one or two players as quickly as possible,’ Mandaric told the Sheffield Star.

‘We are looking at the market and appointing additional staff; we have been getting organised and working all week on these things.’

Wednesday missed out on a deal to sign QPR winger Lee Cook on loan in the closing stages of the winter transfer window, with the former Fulham man pulling out at the last minute.

A return for Cook is unlikely to materialise, although it’s understoof that Megson has been hard at work looking to boost his squad with new arrivals this week.
