As reported on Vital Wednesday, the Owls confirmed the signings of David Kasnik, on loan, and Ryan Lowe, from Bury, yesterday – will more follow today?

The transfer window closes at 11pm tonight, although clubs will have the chance to sign players on loan when the loan transfer window opens.

There will no doubt be a rush of signings around the Barclays Premier League and Football League before tonight’s deadline – but will there be any more ins and outs at Hilsborough?

Owls boss Gary Megson has already confirmed that former Newcastle United and Portsmouth forward Lomana Lualua is in talks about a potential move to S6.

Lualua is without a club at the moment, meaning, as we understand it, that he isn’t restricted to having to sign before tonight’s 11pm deadline. A deal doesn’t have to be rushed through.

Megson has also hinted that some players could be moving away from the club. Defender Mark Beevers, despite playing in last night’s JP Trophy game at Bradford City, has been linked with a loan switch to Rochdale.

Beevers seems part of Megson’s future plans, with the Owls having rejected an approach from Barnsley over the summer, but at the moment is down the pecking order, especially considering David Kasnik’s arrival on loan.

A temporary switch to Spotland could be seen as beneficial for his development, which has somewhat come to a halt over the last year or so.

Daniel Jones and Reda Johnson have also been linked with moves away from the club, both on-loan and permanently.

There could also be some surprises in store – it is transfer deadline day after all, a day that is one of the biggest news days in the English football calendar.
