Wednesday boss Brian Laws has called on his troops to keep going for the full 90 minutes rather than patches of play which saw them defeated at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

Laws was pleased with the way his men performed in spells in the 1-0 defat at the Keepmoat Stadium at the weekend.

But after the match he conceded his men were lucky to be only a goal down at half-time, and is calling for the Owls to play for the full 90 minutes rather then impress in spells.

‘In some ways we were lucky to be only 1-0 down at half-time because Doncaster had control for half an hour before the break. They scored one and had other chances but we reacted well in the second half,’ he told www.swfc.co.uk.

He added: ‘They are a good side and the form team in the Championship but we have to make sure we are at it for 90 minutes against Barnsley on Tuesday night if we are to get a result.’
