“Killing The Game” “Asking For Trouble” – Some Owls Fans React To Television Selections

Yesterday saw Sky Sports announce their latest round of television picks for the coming 2018/19 Championship season.

Sheffield Wednesday will feature an additional two times now in the opening months of the season as our games against Leeds United and relegated West Bromwich Albion have been selected for a national audience.

Our fixture against Leeds United was initially set to take place on Saturday, September 29, but following its selection, the game moves forward to Friday, September 28 and will now kick-off at 7.45pm.

The second clash selected is the game against West Brom and that match doesn’t move on a date or kick-off time front as it was originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 3 and given a 7.45pm start.

Both games are at Hillsborough.

It’s fair to say fans are less than impressed even if the schedule hasn’t been ripped up for the television like it normally is, and the move of the Leeds match, in particular, has left some shaking their heads.
