According to the Sheffield Star, Adam Reach is ‘still out’ ahead of Sheffield Wednesday’s FA Cup clash with Manchester City.

How will Sheffield Wednesday fare against Manchester City?

Win

Draw

Lose

The 27-year-old was expected to return to training this week after spending the last four weeks out with a toe injury, but it appears Reach still isn’t fully fit and will miss out on Wednesday. Whether he returns to face Brentford on Saturday remains to be seen too.

Reach has made 33 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating nine goals. The defender’s last outing came in Wednesday’s 0-0 draw with Millwall in February and he’s gone on to miss six league games through injury.

Garry Monk has Morgan Fox and Liam Palmer who can operate at left-back, so he isn’t short on options in Reach’s stead. Jacob Murphy, Kadeem Harris, Alessio Da Cruz and Fernando Forestieri can operate on the wing too, so Wednesday won’t miss the 27-year-old.

The Owls will be in for a difficult evening regardless of personnel. Man City are coming off the back of Sunday’s EFL Cup triumph and boast four consecutive wins in all competitions. Wednesday, however, have failed to win four of their last five games and have shipped nine goals in their previous four.
