Wednesday boss Dave Jones has added experienced coach Stuart Gray to his backroom staff.

Jones has worked with Gray before at clubs including Southampton and Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the 52-year-old being Jones’s assistant at both clubs.

And it was Gray’s experience that brought Jones to work with his former assistant again at S6.

“I`ve brought Stuart in because he`s an older head than the coaches I have, he has a vast amount of experience,’ he said.

“He`ll become part of the coaching team and everybody at the club will benefit from his experience and knowledge.

“I have worked with Stuart before for around seven years and that played a big part in my decision to bring him to the club.

“It underlines my philosophy of never standing still and always looking to build.’

Gray’s last coaching job came at Portsmouth last season and he has also had similar roles at Burnley, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
