Wednesday’s in-demand goalkeeper Lee Grant has played down talk of a move to Premier League Burnley and insists he’s happy at Hillsborough.

The former England under-21 stopper has been linked with a move to Turf Moor to be re-united with new Clarets boss Brian Laws, who took Grant to Hillsborough.

But, following Wednesday’s crucial 2-1 victory at Barnsley at the weekend, Grant insists he’s happy where he is.

“Everybody wants to the play in the Premier League, but I am very happy at Sheffield Wednesday and showed my commitment to them by signing a new contract recently, which will keep me here for another three years,” he told skysports.com.

“I am very settled here and continue to enjoy playing for the club, so there is no reason for me to want to leave any time soon.”

Grant has also been linked with moves to Birmingham City and Manchester United during his successful stay at Wednesday so far.

And Wednesdayites, and new boss Alan Irvine, will be delighted to see the stopper commit to Wednesday and help them avoid relegation from the Championship this season.
