Former player Stephen Elliott has recently made the bizarre suggestion that to solve all of Sheffield Wednesday’s ills, we should appoint Roy Keane as our new manager.

Elliott knows the recent former Republic of Ireland assistant gaffer well as he played under him at Sunderland, but on social media the other day he felt he would be a good short-term option with pressure on current gaffer Jos Luhukay growing given our run of form, well, lack thereof.

Keane as a player and his time at Manchester United obviously cannot be questioned, but as a manager he can be seriously questioned when it comes to applicable success.
