Ex-Watford forward, Fernando Forestieri, could make his next appearance for the Owls against Saturday’s visitors Preston North End.

During the Wednesday’s last home fixture, against Fulham, Forestieri was forced off at half time after appearing to sustain a hamstring injury. It was during that game in which the forward headed his first Hillsborough goal home. Wednesday eventually won the match 3-2 with goals from Centre Back pair, Lees and Turner and a hat-trick of assists for Ross Wallace.

During Wednesday’s last fixture, a 2-1 win over Brentford away, fellow Watford man Daniel Pudil was also substituted off after picking up a knock.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference,Head Coach Carlos Carvalhal spoke to the Star. ‘Forestieri is training normal and we are waiting to see with Pudil. Fernando trained normally today and we will check on him tomorrow to see if he had any reaction.’

Carvalhal continued, ‘There are signs we are getting better but in the Championship, you cannot sleep for one second because you will lose a game.’

So it appears that Carlos won’t be underestimating our next opponents at all. Lets see if we can keep this momentum going and make it four wins in all competitions on the bounce.
