Swindon Town will soon be turning in to ‘Wednesday B’ if Paul Sturrock has his way, with Yoann Folly the latest to be linked with a move to the League One club.

The Robins have already signed up former Owls Lee Peacock, Barry Corr and have invited Steve Adams to train with them, and the former Owls boss Sturrock is keen to add the Frenchman to his ranks according to reports.

Sturrock worked with Folly when he was a youngster at Southampton and acted quickly to bring him to S6 on loan before penning a full deal for the combative midfielder.

The Frenchman penned a new three-year deal at Hillsborough back in November but fell down the pecking order under boss Brian Laws – being limited to few games, most of which he played out of posisition.

And should Wednesday be offered a decent fee for the former Saints man they could well let him re-unite with Sturrock at Swindon so Laws can use the money to fund new signings ahead of the forthcoming campaign.
