Athletic are just as likely to win at home (4) as they are to lose (3) in the league this season. Wednesday’s form on the road (three defeats from last four away games) is also a problem. It’s been three years since the two sides locked horns, but past meetings favour a Charlton win.
The Addicks have won three and drawn two of their last six games against Wednesday. It’s also worth noting that Charlton have only lost at home to the Owls once since 2008. Wednesday’s last away win in the league came two months ago against Middlesbrough (4-1 victory on September 28) too. They may be underdogs on Saturday.
