Leicester City winger Lloyd Dyer has revealed he ‘wouldn’t entertain’ a move to Wednesday this summer and is keen to stay with the Foxes.

The former MK Dons winger is on Owls boss Gary Megson’s list of transfer targets this clsoe season but any move for the 28-year-old now looks in doubt.

Dyer is likely to find himself limited in terms of first-team appearances at the King Power Stadium next season as City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson splashes the cash in a bid for promotion next season.

But he’s keen to fight for his place and wants to start the new season as a Fox.

‘I don’t want to go anywhere,’ he told the Leicester Mercury.

‘This is my club. I can’t see why I would go anywhere else, especially when there are exciting times ahead.

‘I have had no contact from Sheffield Wednesday and I wouldn’t entertain that either. No-one has approached me.’

Megson was hoping Owls chairman Milan Mandaric could use his links with his former club to secure a deal for Dyer, but he may now need to turn his attentions elsewhere.
