Following on from a very creditable point in the Steel City against Sheffield United, Steve Bruce will be looking to extend his Sheffield Wednesday unbeaten run as we travel to Derby County this weekend.
Heading to the iPro Stadium – or for the traditionalists, Pride Park, Wednesday’s form is greater than Derby although they did manage to return to winning ways in their last match after three successive defeats.
The Championship table puts them in seventh place, but we are only six points behind them with fans hoping for a late run at the promotion spots.
Three points this weekend would certainly boost that dream.
This is the first time Stroud has been in charge of a Wednesday game this season.
