Kieran Lee never seems to shake off the underage tag as a player. However, he can be argued that he is one of the Owls most important players over the last three-seasons. The former Manchester United player scored one of the most dramatic winner yesterday evening at Hillsborough.

The goal capped off a turnaround by the Owls as they came from two goals down to overcome a bright Bristol City side to win 3-2.

Lee`s strike deep into added time sent the home fans in Hillsborough into a frenzy as fans celebrated the goal with the players near Tangos corner of the Kop.

Speaking after the game Lee said to swfc.co.uk:

“It was an unbelievable moment, one of the best of my career. The emotions when the ball went in the net were surreal. We always believe we can get back into games, even tonight at 2-0 down.

“But to score the winning goal and see the reaction of the fans was unbelievable. It`s a night I won`t forget.”

Lee is no stranger to a late late winner as fans will recall who travelled to the New York Stadium under Stuart Gray in the 14/15 season, that goal sparked pandemonium in the away and last night was on a larger stage and scale, he continued:

“They are similar in terms of what time the goals went in but tonight`s has the edge for me because it was at Hillsborough.

“You always want to score goals at home in front of your own fans. It looked for a long time that we wouldn`t be getting anything from this game but we showed what we are all about.

“It`s great to get the goal but the win is the most important and I`m just delighted for everyone here tonight.”
