Sheffield Wednesday won 2-1 against Bristol City on Sunday and Dominic Iorfa was one of many players who put in an impressive performance in his milestone appearance for the club. The 25-year-old was solid at the back and is flourishing as one of three centre-backs alongside Liam Palmer and Julian Borner.

Who did Sheffield Wednesday sign Josh Windass on loan from?

Against City, Iorfa played for 90 minutes, had 53 touches, won three aerial duels, completed 69.2% of his 39 passes, attempted seven long balls with 28.5% accuracy, made nine clearances, gave away two fouls, made two interceptions and made one tackle.

The £1.44m-rated English centre-back joined Wednesday from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2019 and has gone on to make 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals with three assists. Iorfa has been a regular under Garry Monk, making 38 appearances across the board, and still has two years remaining on his deal.

After drawing with Nottingham Forest and beating City, Wednesday are coming into some form. The Owls are now 13th in the Championship with 52 points from 39 games, conceding only two goals in as many games – considerably better than the eight goals they’d shipped in the last two games before lockdown.
