Wednesday striker Leon Clarke could be set for a swift return to the Championship after being linked with moves to a number of clubs.

Clarke, who scored in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on the final day of the season, is out of contract at Hillsborough this summer.

And although not exactly pulling up any trees at S6 this season, interest is said to be high in the former Wolves man.

Reports indicate that Bristol City, newly-promoted Norwich City, Cardiff City and Charlton Athletic are all keen to add Clarke to their squad for the 2010-11 campaign.

Wednesday boss Alan Irvine has yet to announce which out-of-contract players will be staying at Hillsborough in League 1 next season.

But, with Clarke failing to secure a regular first team starting role in the famous blue and white, the Owls boss may be keen to let him go to bring in his own men.
