Wednesdayites can start marking their diaries tomorrow as the Football League release the Fixture List for the 2006/2007 Championship season.

It’s nearly seven weeks since the Owls beat Derby County 2-0 at Pride Park on the final day of the 2005/2006 season, but already fans can start looking forward to the new season with the release of the fixtures tomorrow morning.

Key meetings Wednesdayites will be looking out for are the Yorkshire derbies with Leeds United and Barnsley, and the clashes with the three relegated Premiership sides – Sunderland, Birmingham City and West Bromich Albion.

This season’s Football League season will kick-off on Saturday 5th August 2006 – two weeks ahead of the Premiership campaign for the first time ever.

All the key meetings will be available to view on Vital Sheffield Wednesday as soon as they are released – so stay tuned!
