Calling Geoff Sheard!

Vital Sheffield Wednesday member NicNac, as with the majority of Wednesday fans, was disgusted at the news that Geoff Sheard was abused by Wednesday fans – and she’s doing something about it.

Sheard, heading a consortium looking to takeover at S6, revealed he was abused by several Wednesday ‘fans’ following the Owls 4-1 defeat at Wolves at the weekend.

And NicNac has taken matters in to her own hands by writing an open letter to the man himself, and opening a petition for us to sign to show Geoff that we’re still backing him to takeover at Hillsborough and start a new era at S6…

I realise you must receive lots of emails/phone calls etc every day regarding the take over and the current situation at Sheffield Wednesday.

I realise this must be a very difficult process and all parties are trying their best to resolve the situation.

However, members of the online forum I belong to (Vital SWFC, https://sheffwed.vitalfootball.co.uk) were disgusted to hear about abuse Geoff Sheard said he received after the Wolves game.

To this end, I have created an online petition to show Mr Sheard and
his consortium the backing he has among the rank and file Wednesdayites, the normal Joe Bloggs down the road who want to see the best for Wednesday.

Personally abusing the single ray of light we have had for a number of years is absurd, and indeed dangerous to the future of the club should Mr Sheard decide he’s had enough.

I do have faith in Mr Sheard however and don’t think he’d just give up
at this stage.

I believe he has shown much perseverance and dedication in the process so far, and so I am wanting to get the petition out to
as many people as possible to show Mr Sheard and his associates just what this takeover would mean to the general fanbase and thought you may be able to help.

Finally, the petition was live for a little over two and a half hours and had over 150 signatures.

Thank you for your time, any help is greatly appreciated. The petition
