Young goalkeeper Rob Burch is said to be all set for a move to Wednesday this summer according to today’s papers.

Wednesday have all but signed former Derby stopper Lee Grant to fill their number one jersey next term, but boss Brian Laws is still on the lookout for back-up options, with Burch being high on his hit-list if the Sunday People are to be believed.

Burch has hardly been in the limelight thus far despite being 23, and came through the Tottenham Hotspur youth ranks before going on to have loan spells at Woking, Stevenage, West Ham and Bristol City.

And Burch played a number of games on-loan at League Two side Barnet last term as he tried to make a name for himself in search of first team action.

And Laws could well be set to take a gamble of the youngster, with seemingly limited resources to play with this summer.
