Wednesday have completed their first transfer deadline day deal by bringing QPR forward Jay Bothroyd to Hillsborough.
Bothroyd, who’s been capped by England, will join on loan until January and will be reunited with Dave Jones, who managed the forward at Cardiff City.
The 30-year-old is a proven goalscorer at Championship level and also featured 24 times for Premier League side QPR last term, scoring two goals.
His arrival brings Wednesday’s attacking numbers to five, with Rodri, Gary Madine, Chris Maguire and Chris O’Grady all competing for starting places.
