Tickets for this year’s Sheffield derby at Bramall Lane will once again be in huge demand from Owls fans after United gave us a restricted amount of 3,000 tickets for the second time.

In previous seasons Wednesday fans have been given both tiers of the Bramall Lane end of the ground, until last season when United issued Wednesday with just the lower tier of the stand.

The decision saw many Wednesday fans miss out on tickets, prompting many to sit in the home ends, and seeing Blades fans in the top tier launch objects down on the travelling Owls support.

Despite a plea to give Wednesday fans the whole of the Bramall Lane end, United have once again given us the lower tier of the stand, just 3,000 tickets, with new ‘safety measures’ put in place to avoid a repeat of last season’s incidents.

The clash, which takes place on Saturday, Feburay 7, was set to kick-off at 3pm but has been brought forward to 12 noon on police advice.

Ticket details for Owls fans have yet to be announced on the official site.
