Former Wednesday loanee Bartosz Slusarski has been linked with a return to Hillsborough in light of the current striker crisis at the club.

Media reports on Sunday were linking the West Brom striker with a loan move back to Hillsborough, with the Polish striker well down the pecking order at West Brom and Owls boss Brian Laws looking to bolster his attack.

Akpo Sodje has already fallen victim to injury in the opening game of the season, missing up to two months of the season, while Marcus Tudgay is sidelined for two weeks, Francis Jeffers has yet to make his full return from injury, and Leon Clarke has failed to impress.

And although Wednesday have bagged seven goals in their opening three matches of the new season, Laws could well return to the Owls former loan man to offer extra options in attack.

The Polish frontman arrived at S6 on loan last season to help Wednesday to survive in the Championship during his three starts and four substitute appearances in the blue and white stripes, bagging a crucial goal at Leicester City in the Owls’ final away match of the season.
