Transfer rumours are beginning to really come thick and fast at S6, as Wednesday start to do the business in terms of incomings and outgoings.

There are two rumours that are on the fans` lips this morning, on the day of the kit launch, one being that Celtic`s Charlie Mulgrew has caught the eye of tight-lipped Carlos Carvalhal, according to the Sun newspaper.

The 30-year-old is technically without a club at the moment, as his Celtic contract ran out on the June 30th, and has apparently been offered a big deal to move to the Owls worth £1m per year. Talks over a new contract are ongoing however, with newly-appointed manager Brendan Rodgers telling the Telegraph that he wishes to have Mulgrew on his team for the 2016-17 campaign.

It does seem however that Wednesday have undercut those negotiations by offering a big money contract as to the versatile player, as they search to find a player to fill the centre-half role in the long-term, and the short-term, as they are looking for a replacement for Loovens following ankle surgery which is set to side-line him for 6-8 weeks.

The Scottish international has played for Wolves and Aberdeen, and has been struggling with injuries in recent months, but now is fully fit and raring to go; despite the fact his destination is unknown. He is renowned for his versatility, being able to play centre-back, left-back, and central defensive-midfield.

However, these are busy times, and therefore the door is always revolving at Hillsborough, and it looks like 11-capped Welshman Lewis Price is set to leave the club, to become the latest in a long line of players to make the move from the Owls to the Millers, according to Alan Nixon.

The journeyman lacked first-team football last season, making 5 league appearances & eventually falling behind in the pecking order to Wednesdayite, young academy graduate, and England U20, Joe Wildsmith, who has impressed fans in-between the sticks.

Price was snapped up by Wednesday in early July 2015 after departing Crystal Palace. He was a free-transfer, and signed a 1-year-deal, which consequently has expired. The Owls did offer him another contract, and named him on their retained list, but he looks set to snub that to join a Rotherham side that are under new management, with former Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs taking the reins at the AESSEAL New York Stadium.

Wednesdayites, what do we make of these two deals? Would Charlie Mulgrew be a good signing and the player we need? And what are your thoughts on Price? Let me know in the comments!
