Paul Sturrock will have to wait on three players fitness after Coughlan (concussion), Graham (calf) and Rocastle (stitches in the head) picked up injuries during the 1-1 draw with Watford on Tuesday night.

Sturrock said: ‘We don’t know how bad they are. The bonus is we don’t have a game until next Monday.’

Sturrock also says that he thinks the players are now coming to terms with life in The Championship following last summers promotion and that he is disappointed for the players that they didn’t get a win on Tuesday. ‘I’m so frustrated for the players, we’re not the best team in the world – we don’t profess to be – but we look quite exciting. I’m very sorry for the lads, they’re starting to find their feet in this division.’

Sturrock feels with more luck The Owls could have won and ‘It’s not going our way at the moment. We could quite easily have had a penalty in that game.’

Adrian Boothroyd meanwhile said: ‘I’ll settle for one point, but I would have been more delighted with three. It was a silly goal to give away but I’m pleased and proud of my players, they didn’t go under. We bounced back, particularly after we were below average on Saturday.’
