27 Y/O Reveals Wednesday Are “Talking” About A Summer Deal With Him

|

The arrival of Newcastle United loanee Achraf Lazaar during the January transfer window was certainly a left field move by new manager Steve Bruce.

The 27-year-old arrived at Newcastle back in August 2016 but he’s only ever made six appearances in the domestic Cups (5 starts) and four substitute showings in league competitions and was pretty quickly out of favour.

He spent last season out on loan with Benevento but having needed some time to get up to speed and then been hit with a small injury, Sheffield Wednesday fans have only seen him in action four times – but there are those that have been quite impressed with the Moroccan.

Bruce seems to favour and like him, and Achraf is certainly enjoying his time with us so far and he revealed to outlet Tuttomercatoweb that he has already spoken to the club about extending his stay at the end of the season.

“I was expecting a good experience, but not as much as I’m experiencing it. They are all happy, they would like me to stay a long time. They saw my value, I’m happy. Sheffield Wednesday would like to hold me, we’re talking about it. I have a two-year contract with Newcastle, so we’ll see.”
