2 Shots, 3 Clearances & 58 Touches Sees Wednesday Star Take MotM

|

After another dull lull in the Championship fixture list owing to the October international break, Sheffield Wednesday were back in action on Friday evening as we made the trip to Wales to face Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City.

A 19th minute effort from Julian Borner opened the scoring on the day and for a long time it looked like Garry Monk would return home with another valuable three points, but three minutes before the end of the clash Cardiff finally posed a proper threat and unfortunately, scored from it, to see the points shared.

Statistics website Whoscored had mixed player ratings following the game, but centre-half Borner took their Man of the Match with a score of 7.47 for his individual efforts.

Completing the top five best performers in their system were Massimo Luongo (7.30), Dominic Iorfa (7.06), Barry Bannan (7.06) and Kadeem Harris (7.01).

Two points dropped in reality, but we continue to be in the Play-Off mix and given the troubles over the summer, everyone will have taken that at this stage of the season.
